Kat has worked for Kidz Therapeze since 2012, first as a Speech Therapy Assistant and now as a Speech-Language Pathology Intern. She graduated with her Masters of Science degree from the University of North Texas. Kat is passionate about working together with the families she serves in order to facilitate a holistic therapy experience. Her goal is to promote the child’s progress effectively and efficiently, while also creating a positive experience that will enrich the lives of her little patients.
Kat’s particular areas of interest include feeding therapy, motor disorders and Autism. She continues to pursue additional training in evidenced based techniques in these areas including PECS training, PROMPT training and Augmentative Communication device training. She also recognizes that the best person to teach her about her patients are their parents and caregivers, and as such she highly values input from families regarding their priorities and insights into the kids.
Kat lives in Austin with her husband and two children. She is originally from Washington, D.C but has settled happily into Central Texas. She is so thankful to have the opportunity to continue her work at Kidz Therapeze which provides rich, play-based, and high specialized therapy to a wonderful community of people.
Zacharye graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor University in May of 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sports Science. He then continued his education and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Texas State University in May 2016. He first joined the Kidz team in January 2016 as a student physical therapist. After graduation he helped start and ran an orthopedic physical therapy clinic for 6 months. He enjoyed his time there but missed working with the wonderful kids here and joined the Kidz team as a physical therapist in January 2017. He enjoys treating kiddos with a variety of diagnoses including cerebral palsy, brain injury, hemiplegia, developmental delay, orthopedic conditions, and more.
Zacharye also performs serial casting for children that have decreased range of motion in their joints. He frequently works with children that have toe walking, cerebral palsy, and other neurological conditions with this procedure.
Ashley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in May 2013. From there she continued her education and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2016 from Texas State University. She first joined the Kidz Team in January 2016 as a student of physical therapy. During her 3 months here, she fell in love with the kids and decided to come back and work after graduation. She loves that she is able to interact with so many different disciplines in working to achieve her patient’s goals. She is member of the American Physical Therapy Association and plans to obtain her C/NDT in the near future.
During her free time, Ashley loves spending time with her family (including her two cocker spaniels), watching sports, crafting and being outdoors.
Binita received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013. She worked as an ABA therapist providing behavioral intervention for children with autism and went on to receive her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2015. Binita completed her clinical rotations in outpatient pediatrics and acute care, and presented a research project about the effectiveness of weighted vests. She is currently a member of AOTA and TOTA and plans to further her learning by completing additional courses to become the best therapist for her patients.
Binita joined Kidz Therapeze in March 2016 and loves the interdisciplinary atmosphere and multitude of resources at this wonderful facility. She loves finding activities that motivate her patients and developing relationships with her families. When she’s not working, Binita enjoys reading, knitting, spending time with family and friends, and watching movies.
My name is Morgan Thomason. I graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University in May 2016. I recently married in June of 2016 and moved to the Central Texas Area. I have loved the change and enjoy each day of work at Kidz Therapeze. Outside of work, I enjoy working out, playing recreational tennis, volunteering at my church, and watching Neflix with my husband.
Christine has been with KidZ TherapEZE since January 2013 and is extremely honored and blessed to call KidZ her home! Christine has a huge
passion for kids. She has been working with children since she was 15 and has experience in child care as well as education. The best part of working at KidZ that Christine enjoys is the interaction with the patients as well as seeing them progress and gain a healthy and confident life! Christine has past experience in hospitality for 7years and is continuing her education in billing in coding.
Christine has lived in Texas all her life and is a true Texan! She is active in her community and member at her church, Faith Point Church. She is one of the lead coordinators for the children’s ministry and regularly volunteers as much as she can. In her spare time, she likes to enjoy spending time with her family/friends, hikes, jogs, hunting, crafts, and anything that will make her laugh! She truly loves her job, her coworkers and her bosses! She loves to take care of the patient’s families and making sure they feel important!
Drew has been here at Kidz since June of 2014 as the systems administrator. He had originally attended the University of Texas at San Antonio seeking a career in physical therapy, but after a few detours, he found his love in the ever growing IT field. Additionally, he also provides his talents in photo and video work to Kidz. Outside of work, he enjoy cars, fitness, photography, music, and all things tech.
Heather is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada and lived there until she moved to Southern California to attend Biola University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders in 2011. She continued on in her education, receiving a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Colorado in 2013.
Throughout her education and clinical experience, she enjoyed working with children and adults in a variety of settings. She relocated to Texas to join the great team of therapists at Kidz Therapeze and considers herself blessed to have the opportunity to work with the children and their families in this clinic.
In her spare time, Heather loves doing CrossFit, running, hanging out at local coffee shops, traveling, watching football (go Denver Broncos!), reading, and paddleboarding. Heather has lived all over the west coast and misses her mountains, but is happy to call Texas home.
Tammy is our Program Director for our newly established Animal Assisted Therapy program. Our goal is to have working therapy dogs and other small animals that can be incorporated into treatment with the children we see. From motor groups to motivating speech and language development, animals can often motivate children to participate in otherwise challenging tasks.
Tammy is also an instructor and evaluator for the Pet Partners Program through Delta Society, an internationally recognized leader in AAT. In her spare time, Tammy provides consultation and educational outreach to other individuals and organizations interested in doing similar work. This work includes traveling to Barcelona, Spain; Lisbon, Porgtugal; Guayaquil, Ecuador; and Santiago, Chile where she has provided lectures for Fundacion Bocalan (http://www.bocalan.es/fundacion.html) and their AAT certification program.
After completing her degree in OT, Tammy took a short career detour to follow her dream to rescue, rehabilitate, and release sick and injured dolphins and small whales as State Coordinator for the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network. During several of the rehabilitations, Tammy utilized her knowledge of treatment techniques for humans on the dolphins, often seeing wonderful results. Combining this love with her love of working with children, Tammy also worked with a dolphin assisted therapy program in Clearwater, FL as part of her Master’s degree internship program. Tammy is also currently working with Texas Hearing and Service Dogs as a foster trainer and consulting OT to facilitate matching recipients with service dogs.
Susan Provost-Danner joined KidZ in January 2009.She works with children because they have so much to teach us and they are always willing to learn. She started her career as an Army OT in Germany, providing therapy to students in the school system. She has also worked in home health, early childhood intervention and orthopedic hand injuries.
Susan received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska, a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Boston University in Frankfurt, Germany and a Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah.
I enjoy being outdoors, gardening, swimming, and hiking. I also quilt, read, and spend time with my husband, two daughters, and our ball-fetching dog.
Adrianne is an Occupational Therapist who has been with Kidz Therapeze since October 2010. Before becoming an Occupational Therapist, she devoted her work and free time to helping children with a variety of abilities. She worked as a personal attendant under the C.L.A.S.S. program for 6 years and served as a camp counselor for the Muscular Dystrophy Association for three years.
Adrianne received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Texas Woman’s University in Denton in 2006. In 2008, Adrianne graduated with a Master’s of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University Houston Campus. Before coming to Kidz Therapeze, she worked at an outpatient pediatric clinic in Austin.
Adrianne moved to Killeen in 2010 with her husband, Cory. In her free time, Adrianne enjoys crafting, kayaking, going to the movies, and visiting family in Austin.
Kim is a speech language pathologist that loves working with the pediatric population. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Central Missouri. Kim has a passion for working with children of all ages and abilities! She has taken a variety of continuing education courses to further her education, including the Picture Communication Exchange System (PECS), Prompts For Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), Language Acquisition for Motor Planning (LAMP), as well as multiple courses addressing pediatric feeding and swallowing. In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and her pug, Manny!
Stacy has been a part of the Kidz Therapeze team since January 2011 after receiving her Master’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in December 2010 from Baylor University. She has experience with babies, children and adults in several settings such as as home health, school districts and hospitals (acute care, outpatient and NICU). She loves working at Kidz Therapeze with and being able to develop a close relationship with the kids and parents. She loves finding unique ways in therapy for each child to thrive and reach their full potential to communicate. In her free time she loves to spend time with her husband and family, traveling, going to the movies and college football.
Chelsea is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of New Mexico in December 2010. During her time at UNM is where she knew she wanted to become a physical therapist. From there she continued her education and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2014 from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Chelsea recently moved to Round Rock, Texas and has been a part of the team at KidZ TherapEZE since September 2014. Chelsea enjoys learning from others at the clinic and being a part of a multidisciplinary team. She plans to continue her education further by working on her C/NDT among other specialties. During her free time, Chelsea enjoys exploring Austin, being outdoors, reading, and traveling.
Aileen began working with Kidz Therapeze in 2005 as a student volunteer. After receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2010, she decided to return to the clinic that inspired her to become a pediatric physical therapist, fortunately located in her hometown. While at Kidz, Aileen has had the opportunity to learn and grow as a therapist. She’s worked with children with a variety of conditions, including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spinal muscular atrophy, and autism, as well as orthopedic conditions, such as scoliosis and post-surgical rehabilitation. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and teaching student physical therapists by working as a Clinical Instructor. She is also NDT certified in the management and treatment of children with cerebral palsy and other neuromotor disorders.
Aileen is married to her high school sweetheart, Chris. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, read, and cook.
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science Pre-Professional from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. She graduated in 2014 with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Lynchburg College in Virginia. She had the opportunity to complete several clinical rotations in outpatient pediatrics where she found her passion for working with children. She enjoys helping patients reach their goals and making a difference in their lives as well as their families. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association Pediatrics Section and plans to become C/NDT certified in the near future.
Amanda recently moved to Austin, Texas from her hometown of Rocky Mount, Virginia to join the Kidz team. She loves the mountains and traveling to new places. In her free time she enjoys exploring Austin, spending time outdoors, and hiking with her yellow lab Roxy. She looks forward to working with your child and helping them achieve their maximum potential.
Lenna is Kelly’s oldest daughter, and while she has been involved with Kidz Therapeze since the beginning, she officially started in 2007. Over the years Lenna has held every position at Kidz with the exception of being a therapist. She holds a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Mary Hardin-Baylor, and her dissertation on the economic impact of IFRS was published in the International Journal of Accounting and Finance. She currently oversees the Office Staff, and works on designing processes to better serve our families.
On the side, Lenna loves volunteering and public speaking. She is heavily involved with Rotary and has served as District 5870’s Membership Chair for the year 2015-16, and as president of her club in 2011-12. She also serves on the Greater Killeen Free Clinic executive board directors as Secretary, the Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity executive board of directors as Vice President, and The Greater Killeen Young Professionals board. Lenna is a graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute, and Leadership Killeen. In 2014 she was one of 32 Young Professionals from across the United States selected to consult with Rotary International on how to reach the younger generation, which has led to a vibrant public speaking career.
In what free time Lenna has left, she spends her time with her best friend and husband, Jared Foster.
